With an almost guaranteed chance of no rain whatsoever and around 10 hours of gorgeous hot sun every day, the western coast of India is blessed with fabulous January weather. Further south than the popular Canary Islands, the islands of Cape Verde are also just off of the African coast and basking in warm weather all year round. Rainfall is most likely between August and October. In January, there is practically zero chance of any rain and every chance of consistent warm sunshine all day long. If you want to do more than just chill-out in one of the large beachfront resort style hotels on Boavista or Sal there are plenty of opportunities for wind-surfing, diving and deep sea fishing.

The average temperature in the Maldives is consistently hot and sunny all year round, but the months with the lowest rainfall are January, February and March. January and December are typically the months with the least rain and are also outside of the hurricane season.
