Overview

Occidental Jandia Playa is set in tropical gardens in the southern tip of the island overlooking the sea. There is a choice of bars and restaurants with extensive buffets as well as a good range of sports and leisure facilities.

Location

Occidental Jandia Playa is located on a quiet side street, a short walk from the long sands of Jandia Beach. The Ventura Shopping Centre is right in front of the hotel and has places to eat, as well as shops and a supermarket.

Jandia is around 80km from Fuerteventura Airport.

Facilities

Occidental Jandia Playa is a member hotel of the Barceló Hotel Group and formerly called Barceló Jandia Playa.

Please note that some activities, facilities and services are part of the Occidental Jandia Royal Level premium complex, and may incur a local charge.

The TERRAZA PAJARA will be closed for refurbishment from 18/11/24 - 20/12/24. During this time you will still have access to the facilities at the hotel including the usual terraces and two swimming pools. Royal Level guests have access to the adults only exclusive area.

Occidental Jandia Playa is set around a large outdoor pool complex with interlinked swimming pools and a separate pool for children, a sun terrace with loungers and parasols, a feature bridge, palm trees, showers, shaded areas and bar service. The U-Spa centre has an indoor swimming pool with hydromassage jets, a sauna, Jacuzzi, steam bath, relaxation area and fitness gym. There are also six treatment rooms where guests can relax with a massage for a local charge. For children, there is a play area and mini club plus day and night-time entertainment for the whole family. A range of sports courts and watersports options are also available.

Social and dining venues at the hotel include a buffet restaurant, snack restaurant and a range of bars dotted around the site.

Amenities and services available to guests include 24 hour reception, tourist information, free cot hire, air conditioning in public areas and currency exchange. There is also Wi-Fi and an internet corner, excursions, babysitting, a hairdresser, medical assistance and car parking.

Rooms

There are 612 hotel rooms located in a number of buildings separated by palm lined garden path ways and offering light and tastefully styled accommodation. Guests can choose from Double rooms or a range suites sleeping up to four adults. Suites have a twin/double bedroom, a lounge with a sofa bed, a bathroom with a hydro-massage bath and rain shower, elegant furnishings and a large terrace.

Rooms feature double/twin beds, a sofa bed, satellite TV, a telephone, a mini fridge, a safety deposit box (local charge),a hair dryer and air conditioning.
