Location

Quinta Splendida Wellness And Botanical Garden is located in the village of Canico where there is a selection of shops and restaurants. The beach is approx 2km away where diving and other water sports are available. There are 2 golf courses within 15 minutes drive. The hotel is approx 7km from Funchal and 8km from Madeira Airport.

Facilities

Quinta Splendida Wellness And Botanical Garden is set in landscaped botanical gardens with over 1000 types of plants and flowers as well as views to the Atlantic and the nearby Deserted Islands nature reserve. Leisure facilities and activities include a heated outdoor swimming pool, a sun terrace, a Spa (local charges), a fitness gym, a 5 hole putting green, table tennis and pool tables.

The contemporary styled Spa has 10 treatment rooms and offers a variety of massages, facials and treatments. It features an indoor pool, sauna and jacuzzi, hot and cold baths, a mud bath, a vitality pool, a Finnish sauna, a Turkish steam sauna and a heated stone bed. Please note: children under the age of 16 are not allowed in the Spa.

Social and dining venues include a gourmet restaurant serving international cuisine overlooking the garden; a contemporary restaurant and terrace offering buffet breakfasts, table d' hote and a la carte services with Mediterranean menus; a Thai lounge; a pool-side bar serving healthy salad and pasta dishes and; a lounge bar for drinks and cocktails in the evenings. There is also a wellness bar at the Spa.

Accommodation at the hotel comprises a total of 141 guest rooms, made up of 80 studios, 38 one bedroom apartments, 3 two bedroom apartments, 20 double rooms and 25 Spa Suites.

The Spa suites are open plan with contemporary styling, floor to ceiling windows and a private decked terrace with outdoor furniture and sea views. The spa suites have a king-size bed, large screen satellite TV, a DVD player, PC with internet access, bathrobes and towels, a mini bar and a safe.

The double rooms are located in the restored Manor House and in the Patio annexe. They are en-suite and feature satellite TV with radio channels, direct dial telephone, a hair dryer, a safe (local charge) and a mini bar.

The apartments have one or two bedrooms, a garden or balcony (mainly with sea view), a bathroom with a bath or shower and a kitchenette.
