Location
Playitas Hotel is situated on the Playitas Resort overlooking the bay. The resort has direct access to the beach where there are loungers and parasols to hire. There is a small working town next to the resort and it is approx 5km from the Canarian town of Gran Tarajal which has a dark sand beach, supermarkets, restaurants and a harbour.
Playitas Resort is approx 43km away from Fuerteventura Airport.
Facilities
Playitas Hotel has an outdoor swimming pool and a pool for children, surrounded by sun terraces and gardens with views to the ocean and the mountains. The Spa offers a range of massages and features a hammam, a sauna, a jacuzzi and a relaxation area.
Sports and leisure facilities available to guests on the complex, and charges will apply, include an 18 hole golf course with putting and chipping greens (tuition available), an olympic swimming pool, a large fitness centre, an indoor sports hall (badminton, basketball), tennis courts, water sports (such as scuba diving and windsurfing), running tracks, cycling, a games room, table tennis, mini golf, a children's playground, an extensive activity programme and a mini club for children. Some facilities may incur a local charge.
The main restaurant offers buffets at breakfast and dinner with show cooking, whilst the pool-side bar is open for lunch as well as snacks and drinks throughout the day. There is also a choice of A la Carte restaurants on the resort complex.
Amenities and services available to guests include 24 hour reception with English speaking staff, currency exchange and car parking spaces. There is also a supermarket, a gift shop, WiFi, an on-call doctor, car hire, excursions, a launderette and laundry services (all with local charges).
