Overview
Globales Costa de la Calma welcomes couples and families to it's studios and apartments. It has outdoor pools and seasonal entertainment for all adults, children and teenagers. The complex is centrally located for resort amenities, with numerous shops and restaurants just along the road.
Location
Globales Costa de la Calma is just a five-minute walk from a small sandy cove and around 1.2km from the main Santa Ponsa Beach. There is a supermarket and a selection of restaurants directly across from the hotel. A couple of minutes walk along the road, there are plenty of shops, bars and places to eat.
The complex is located 33km from Palma de Majorca International Airport.
Facilities
Globales Costa de la Calma has an outdoor swimming pool and a separate pool for children with water-slides.
Further leisure facilities and activities include a football court, a children's playground and a games zone with pool tables and air hockey. In addition, the animation team organise sports, shows and entertainment for children. During July and August there is an additional entertainment programme for teenagers.
Social and dining venues include a pool-side bar and terrace serving drinks, snacks and ice creams.
Amenities and services available to guests include a reception and tourist information. There is also Wi-Fi, an internet corner and currency exchange service (all with local charges).
Rooms
There are a total of 150 Studios and Apartments, all of which have warm and welcoming interior styling.
The apartments have a double/twin bedroom, an open plan living area with a double/twin bed, sofa bed, kitchenette, bathroom and a balcony or terrace. Studios do not have a separate bedroom. The studios sleep up to 3 adults and 1 child whilst the apartments sleep up to 4 adults and 2 children.
Standard amenities include Wi-Fi access, a TV with international channels, fridge, a safe (local charge), hairdryer, telephone and air conditioning.

Special Information
Please note; A new Eco-Tax has been approved in the Balearic Islands. This Eco Tax will apply for stays from the 01.07.2016 (tax also payable for stays that include this date). This tax is payable directly to the accommodation, this includes hotels, apartments, villas, hostals, B&B's and cruise ships. The amount payable is between 0.5 euro and 2 Euro per person per night depending on the category of the establishment and the season.
As important as it is to have fun whilst on your holiday, it’s much more important to make sure you stay safe and follow the rules set out in your chosen destination during your time there. From April 1st there will be some changes on drinking and eating on the picturesque island of Majorca, and if you’re found eating or drinking on the streets of certain areas of Palma you’ll face a fine of up to €3,000. This new law only applies to certain areas of the island’s capital including the centre, Cala Major, Paseo Maritimo and all of Playa de Palma. The fine also applies to bars so they can no longer promote happy hours or show alcohol displays. Local police will be focusing their attention on these popular tourist areas to control drinking and antisocial behaviour in a bid to reduce the strains on A&E departments. You’ll still be able to enjoy the delicious food and drink on the island, but you’ll need to make sure you keep inside bars, restaurants and clubs when doing so. A lot of popular bars will have barriers to stop partygoers from taking drinks out onto the streets which, as an added benefit will prevent illegal sellers and pickpockets getting in.
