Overview
The Occidental Playa de Palma, with its privileged location in the heart of Palma beach on the Balearic island of Majorca is a highly recommendable hotel for families.

Location
The hotel is situated on Palma beach, in the Balearic Islands, just 12 kilometres from the centre of the islands capital (Palma de Majorca) and 6 kilometres from Son Sant Joan International Airport.
Facilities
Occidental Playa de Palma is a member hotel of the Barceló Hotel Group and formerly called Barceló Pueblo Park.
The hotel offers a reception desk with currency exchange services, automatic cash dispenser, full tourist information, vehicle rental, bicycle rental, a doctor-on-call, a children's playground, nursery service and excursions.
There are four outdoor fresh water swimming pools, both covered and uncovered; one is heated and another is specifically for children.
The hotel's spa includes gymnasium, sauna, Turkish bath and massage service (some services incur a local fee). Guests are also able to enjoy complementary games of table tennis, volleyball, petanque, water polo, shuffle board, darts, water basketball and a games room with billiards (local charge) and board games.
There is a shopping centre and rich night life in the area, including several party halls and discotheques.
Please note that there's a rule of three drinks per person for lunch and dinner with the All Inclusive concept.

Please note; A new Eco-Tax has been approved in the Balearic Islands. This Eco Tax will apply for stays from the 01.07.2016 (tax also payable for stays that include this date). This tax is payable directly to the accommodation, this includes hotels, apartments, villas, hostals, B&B's and cruise ships. The amount payable is between 0.5 euro and 2 Euro per person per night depending on the category of the establishment and the season.
As important as it is to have fun whilst on your holiday, it’s much more important to make sure you stay safe and follow the rules set out in your chosen destination during your time there. From April 1st there will be some changes on drinking and eating on the picturesque island of Majorca, and if you’re found eating or drinking on the streets of certain areas of Palma you’ll face a fine of up to €3,000. This new law only applies to certain areas of the island’s capital including the centre, Cala Major, Paseo Maritimo and all of Playa de Palma. The fine also applies to bars so they can no longer promote happy hours or show alcohol displays. Local police will be focusing their attention on these popular tourist areas to control drinking and antisocial behaviour in a bid to reduce the strains on A&E departments. You’ll still be able to enjoy the delicious food and drink on the island, but you’ll need to make sure you keep inside bars, restaurants and clubs when doing so. A lot of popular bars will have barriers to stop partygoers from taking drinks out onto the streets which, as an added benefit will prevent illegal sellers and pickpockets getting in.
