Iberostar Waves Playa Gaviotas Hotel is set directly on the beach. This all inclusive family friendly complex has a good range of sports and leisure facilities for families and adult only areas for couples.

Location

Iberostar Waves Playa Gaviotas Hotel is located directly on the wide sandy beach at the entrance of the resort. The Ventura CC is 200 metres away with a supermarket, shops and places to eat. There is diving centre, a windsurfing and sailing centre on the beach nearby. The main promenade is just under 15 minutes walk away (1.1km) and the harbour at Morro Jable is approx 4.6km away.

Jandia is approx 90km away from Fuerteventura Airport.

Facilities

Iberostar Waves Playa Gaviotas Hotel has family areas and adult only areas, both with attractive sun terraces and swimming pools overlooking the ocean. The main pool complex has a large outdoor swimming pool, a pool for children, sun loungers, parasols, showers and bar service.

Guests staying in the VIP Prestige rooms have, in addition, exclusive use of an outdoor pool, an outdoor jacuzzi, a beach facing sun terrace, a fitness room and a reading and TV lounge.

Further leisure facilities and activities at the hotel include a Bowling bar and games room with bowling, table football and billiards; a children's games room, a children's outdoor playground, aerobics, archery and rifle range, volleyball, squash (local charge) and tennis (local charge). The entertainment team organise activities during the day, live music and shows in the evening as well as a kids club for ages 4-8, 9-13 and 14-17.

In addition, all guests have access to facilities in the neighbouring hotels, including the Thai Zen SPA at the Iberostar Playa Gaviotas Park and the diving centre at the Iberostar Fuerteventura Palace.

Social and dining venues include 2 restaurants, a pool-side cafe, 2 lounge bars and an entertainment bar. The main restaurant offers buffet service at breakfast, lunch and dinner and occasional gala dinners. The pool-side cafe and terrace offers buffets of pizzas, pastas, salads and deserts at lunch time and; 2 evenings a week, the A la Carte restaurant is open for dinner (reservation required). The Coronas bar is open for continental breakfast and then serves drinks and sandwiches through til midnight and; the Sotavanto Bar hosts entertainment and the kids discos in the evenings. There is also a bar in the bowling alley and games room.

Amenities and services available to guests include 24 hour reception with multi-lingual staff, excursion information, 5 elevators, currency exchange and car parking spaces. There is also WiFi and an internet corner, baby sitting, laundry services, taxi services, car hire, a gift shop and a boutique (all with local charges).

Rooms

There are 355 hotel rooms, comprising 256 double rooms, 16 family rooms, 4 junior suites, 12 suites, 2 senior suites and 60 VIP Prestige rooms. All rooms have an en-suite and a balcony or terrace, many with views overlooking the beach or the pools.

Rooms feature double/twin beds, satellite TV, a telephone, a safe (local charge), a mini bar and air conditioning. VIP rooms have enhanced amenities such as free WiFi, a coffee machine, bathrobes and slippers; these are restricted to guests over the age of 14.

All Inclusive

The All Inclusive programme offers all meals with soft drinks, local wine and beer. There are weekly Canarian and Spanish gala dinners. Snacks are available from 4.30 pm to 6pm and 9.30pm to midnight. Afternoon tea and cakes is served from 3.30 pm until 4.30pm. Hot, soft and locally produced alcoholic drinks are served from 10 am to 1 am in various bars.
