Overview

Golden Beach Resort is themed to the movie world and even has it's own production studio. The hotel is set in landscaped beach front gardens and boasts diving and surfing centres, 15 bars and restaurants, 5 pools and a lazy river along with sports courts, daytime and evening entertainment.

Location

Golden Beach Resort is set along-side a wide beach where the waters are shallow and a pier to the deeper waters of the Red Sea. In addition to the hotel's diving centre, windsurfing and kitesurfing school, there are banana boats, speed boats and glass bottom boats available at the beach. It is in a quiet area, approx 15km from the centre of Hurghada and 10km from El Gouna. The hotel is approx 20km from Hurghada International Airport.

Facilities

Golden Beach Resort is set around lawned gardens landscaped with flowering shrubs, palms and colourful trees. The hotel lays alongside the beach and has a diving centre and a surfing school (windsurfing and kitesurfing), offering courses and trips.

The hotel boasts an extensive swimming pool complex comprising 2 pools which are linked by a lazy river which runs through the gardens from the main building to the beach; an adult only pool, a relax pool and a pool for children with a small slide. One pool also features a Mini Aqua Park with 5 water slides for adults and 3 for children.

Further leisure facilities and activities include a Spa, 3 tennis courts, multi-sports courts (volleyball etc), a fitness centre, a movie production studio, water polo, badminton, mini golf, table tennis, billiards, darts, archery and giant chess. The Spa (local charge) features a sauna, a jacuzzi, a steam bath, massage treatments, beauty treatments and a hair dresser.

The entertainment team organise a variety of fitness sessions (aerobics, yoga, aqua gym etc) and sporting activities. Evening entertainment includes cabaret, music hall, beach and pool parties. The mini club offers a playground and activities for children aged 4-7 as well as tournaments, console games and tournaments for ages 8-12.

Social and dining venues include 7 restaurants, a lobby lounge bar, an ice cream bar, a party bar, a teens cafe bar, a vitamin bar, an adult only bar, a beach bar, a pool-side bar, a large amphitheatre and a disco. The Indiana Jones restaurant and brunch lounge is open for buffet breakfasts, lunch and dinner. Open for evening meals (with reservation) are the Don Vito, specialising in Italian; Aladdins specialising in Oriental cuisine and the Ocean's 11. Buffalo Bills offers a menu of Mediterranean dishes in the evenings whilst Fish & Co serves exotic dishes at lunch and dinner. For fast foods, Grease is open 24 hours a day.

Amenities and services available to guests include 24 hour reception and beach towel hire. There is also laundry services, an on-call doctor, car hire, safe deposit box rental, internet access and excursions.

Rooms

There are 456 hotel rooms offering spacious, simply furnished accommodation. Economy and Sea View rooms sleep up to 2 people, Standard rooms sleep up to 3 people, Superior rooms and Family rooms sleep up to 2 adults and 2 children. Connecting rooms are also available which will sleep 4-5 people.

All room types feature satellite TV, a telephone, a mini bar, a hair dryer and air conditioning. Most rooms also have a balcony or terrace (excluding Economy and Family Garden View Rooms).

All Inclusive

The AI programme consists of breakfast 7am-10am, late breakfast 10am-11am, lunch 12:30am-14:30am and dinner 18:30am-21:30am, all served buffet style in the main restaurant. During meals soft drinks, beer & wine, coffee & tea are offered.

Coffee break with cakes is between 15:00 & 17:00 at the beach bar. Late light snacks are offered from 23:00-24:00 at the lobby.

A variety of local alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks are available from 10.00-00.00.

Additional charges apply for snorkelling, billiards, massages, sauna and jacuzzi, hairdresser, internet corner, diving centre, kite and surfing school.

Please note that the drinks in the Disco Bar between 23:00 and 00:00 are payable locally and not included in the All Inclusive.
