Fiscardo, or Fiskardo, offers pastel painted houses, little flotillas of sailing boats calling in to the harbour for lunch at a waterside taverna and the village streets are stuffed with patisserie, bakeries, arty shops and stylish cafes.

There is a small pebbly beach here, with a further two beaches around 20 minutes walk away or the locals choice is at Aghia Jerusalem around 25 minutes by car.

Visitors should take the time to wander around the capital of Argostoli, just an hour away. Here there is a beautiful waterfront and plenty of historical sights including a museum and the Victorian Drapano Bridge.
