Location

Filitheyo Island Resort Hotel is located on the island of Filitheyo in the Faafu Atoll. From Male International Airport, the island can be reached by a 40 minute seaplane trip and 15 minutes on a traditional dhoni.

Facilities

Filitheyo Island Resort Hotel sits on a small island of just 21 hectares and, being the only resort in the Faafu Atol, all but assures you exclusivity at the nearby dive sites.

The resort has a diving centre offering a range of courses to uncertified divers and a house reef which will reward snorkellers with a vibrant coral garden, colourful fish, rays, turtles and reef sharks. There are approx 40 nearby dive sites with daily boat trips to reefs, wrecks, channels and caves.

Further leisure facilities and activities include a water sports centre with canoes, catamarans and windsurfing; an infinity swimming pool next to the beach with a swim-up bar; a Spa, fitness gym with personal trainer available; volleyball, table tennis, billiards, darts, board games and a small library.

The Spa is set in a lush garden with an outdoor shower, glass walled treatment room and an outdoor treatment pagoda. It offers a range of Balinese and international massages and spa treatments. Social and dining venues include a buffet restaurant, an A la Carte restaurant, the pool bar and a beach bar. The buffet restaurant is set in a traditional thatched pavilion and offers international themed buffets with live cooking stations. The A la Carte restaurant is positioned to enjoy the sunsets with a choice of dining under the pavilion or by the pool. Guests also have the option of private dining on the beach.

Amenities and services available to guests include reception and internet access. There is also a doctor on call and laundry services (all with local charges).

Rooms

Accommodation comprises Superior Villas and Deluxe Villas which are located on the beach front or Water Villas which are set over the ocean.

The water villas have private sunset facing sun decks with a swinging chair and steps down to the water. Some also have a jacuzzi.

The beach villas have a sun terrace, day bed and beach furniture. Superior villas have a semi-open bathroom with outdoor shower and bath. All room types are decorated in a blend of contemporary styling and rustic charm and feature four poster beds, satellite TV, CD player, tea and coffee making facilities, a mini bar, a telephone, hair dryer and air conditioning.
