Dorisol Mimosa Hotel enjoys views over Funchal Bay and, as part of the Dorisol Madeira complex guests of the hotel may also use the facilities at the neighbouring Buganvilia and Estrelicia hotels.

Location

Dorisol Mimosa Hotel is located close to the sea front promenade in the heart of the Lido area with many bars and restaurants nearby. The Lido has a swimming complex and the pedestrianised promenade is edged with attractive gardens. The historic city centre is approx 2km away, to which the hotel runs a shuttle bus service. There are many leisure activities available in the area such as parasailing, windsurfing, jet skiing, pedal boats and 2 golf courses. The hotel is approx 20km from Madeira Airport.

Facilities

Dorisol Mimosa Hotel forms part of the Dorisol Madeira Complex allowing guests to benefit from the combined array of facilities.

Leisure facilities and activities within the complex include 2 outdoor swimming pools, a children's pool, sun shades and sun loungers, an indoor swimming pool, a small Spa, a fitness gym, a children's play area, a tennis court and a games room with table tennis, darts and billiards. The Spa offers a variety of massages and spa treatments and is equipped with a sauna and a jacuzzi. The complex provides daytime and evening entertainment programs and can also assist with booking nature activities.

Social and dining venues within the complex include a buffet restaurant serving dishes of regional and international cuisine, an A la Carte restaurant specialising in Italian and Portuguese dishes; a restaurant and bar which is open in the evenings until 2am serving drinks and snacks and a Scandinavian restaurant which is open for evening meals.

Amenities and services available to guests include 24 hour reception with multi-lingual staff, WiFi in public areas, luggage storage and a shuttle bus to the city centre. There is also a gift shop, an internet corner, laundry services, medical assistance, baby sitting and covered car parking spaces (all with local charges).

Parking is available, for a daily charge.

There are 99 studios, spread over 12 floors, which sleep 2 to 3 people. The studios have a bathroom with a bath or shower, a kitchenette and a balcony with views to the pool or the ocean.

Studios feature cable TV, a telephone, a fridge, a microwave, a coffee maker, a hair dryer and a safe.
