Posted by Sue Anderson, 25th Jan 2012
Good news for holidaymakers planning on visiting the Bodrum area this summer, as the new terminal is due to open in spring 2012. The new terminal will be for international flights while the existing terminals will continue operating for domestic flights.
With an area of 95,000sqm, the new terminal will be able to accept up to 5 million passengers per year and will feature nine boarding bridges with one suitable for jumbo jets, 66 check-in desks, high tech security systems and baggage handling systems.
In 2010 the airport received more than 25,000 domestic and international flights with around 3 million passengers, mostly originating from Turkey, United Kingdom, Germany and Russia.
