A reduction in price for British passports
Posted by Sue Anderson, 19th Jul 2012
A new reduced price for a standard British passport will come into force from 3rd September 2012, with the new fee for a standard adult passport being reduced by £5.
The Identity and Passport Service restructuring programme has allowed this saving to be passed on to customers with the new standard adult passport fee to remain at £72.50 for at least the next two years.
The cost of a child's standard passport will also be down £3 to £46, and an adult's fast-track passport, which can be processed in seven days, will fall by £9.50 to £103.
So if you've already had this years holiday and your passport is up for renewal wait till September and your next holiday's first drink is free.
