Beaches

Set well back into the shelter of the bay, the main beach at Puerto San Miguel is sandy and shelves gently into the sea. The beach is approx 110 metres long, very wide (80 metres) and has sun loungers and shades for hire. Just around the corner from the main beach there is a small cove, framed by rocky cliffs.

The waters are ideal for swimming and snorkelling and are safe for children. There is a diving school at the resort and further watersports available at the beach include pedalos, water-skiing and windsurfing.

Things to Do

Hop on the bus into the small town of San Miguel (3km) and soak up the atmosphere of local island life. There are shops and restaurants, a town square and a centuries old church. On Thursday evenings there is also a craft market.

There are some great great walks along the cliffs with fabulous views over the blue Mediterranean. You can walk along the coast and through the pine forests to the ancient pirate tower which affords amazing views over San Miguel.

Learn of the colourful smuggling history at the Caves of San Marca, explore the caverns and watch the fantastic music and light show. The Caves are open all year round and are located to the east side of the bay, easily accessed by bus or the tourist train.

Out and About

Groceries, gifts and beach gear can be bought in the resort but for further shopping, banking and everyday needs the town of San Miguel is just a few minutes up the road.

Nightlife is low key but there are a few bars and some good restaurants near the beach. Or head off to the picturesque Benirras Beach, which is a popular spot for a sundowner and less than 10 minutes drive away. If you go there during the day, the beach is wide and sandy and the rocky sea bed is great for snorkelling.

Nearby Attractions

The lively nightlife, prestigious Marina and fabulous historic quarter of Ibiza Town is less than half an hour drive away. Also, the famous nightlife of San Antonio, its clubs and sunset chillout bars, is also just 30 minutes along the north coast.

The resort is served by local buses and excursions are readily available to other parts of the island.
