There are several charming villages to be found in this area of Majorca, many with cobbled lanes, sights and historical buildings of interest, such as the Carthusian Monasater in Valldemossa and in Deya the former residence of Robert Graves which has now been transformed into a museum open to the public.
The stately estate of Jarndines de Alfabia, historically the home of the Arabic Viceroy of the island, it displays a fine example of Moorish garden design where the emphasis is on water and irrigation.
An ideal base for enjoying the great outdoors, with plenty of walks and cycling routes, there are two riding stables within 10 km and also the Son Termens 18-hole golf course which is approximately 12 km away.
