Oahu, known as 'The Gathering Place', is the third largest of the Hawaiian Islands and the most populated.

How Hot?
Oahu offers pleasant year round weather, with just two seasons; summer runs from May to October where temperature highs can reach the low-nineties, and the winter months from November to April with temperatures between the low-seventies to mid-eighties.
Surf season on the North Shore begins in November and ends in February, with world-class surfing competitions taking place between November and December. During the summer months the big waves subside making way for ideal beach conditions.
Out and About
Oahu is the most popular of the Hawaiian Islands and with its gentle lagoons, mile upon mile of beautiful sand, fun-loaded parks and interesting history, it is easy to see why. There is so much on offer that the whole family will find plenty to entertain themselves from morning till night.
Among the many attractions is Waikiki Beach, located in the city of Honolulu, it is one of the most famous tourist destinations in the world. Here you will find many beachfront resorts, white sand beaches and scenic views which include the world famous Diamond Head Crater. Take a trip to Diamond Head Tower which is a classic whitewashed landmark nestled on the lower slopes of the crater. If you are energetic enough to climb to the top of Diamond Head, you will be rewarded with some fantastic views over the island.
Oahu is also home to the Dole Plantation which is a great day out for all the family. Take the Pineapple Express Train ride through the pineapple gardens or have a go at the Pineapple garden maze which holds the record as the 'world's largest maze'.
See a different side of Oahu and visit Chinatown and take in the sights, sounds and smells of the open markets, herbalists and trinket shops. It is full of culture and history with some fascinating architecture.
Oahu is also a great place for shopping with many of the inhabitants from the neighbouring islands coming here to shop.

Oahu offers you a wide selection of locally homegrown foods mixed in with an International menu. Try some of the local dishes like Chicken Katsu which can be ordered in local restaurants, Kalula Pig a pork dish slowly cooked through smoke, Lau Lau, a Hawaiian dish cooked using Taro leaves and salted butterfish as well as a variety of fish dishes including Poke, a raw fish marinated.
Dine in the local restaurants scattered around and try the local delicacies. There are plenty of gourmet restaurants as well as open sea restaurants and snack bars. All of these establishments provide you with local cuisine to try.
