The district of Llucmajor has 16 towns in its municipality including the town of Llucmajor. The town is around 15km from Palma Airport and also 15km from the coast.

The Arenal is the start of a 5 km long fine white sandy beach, the beach continues around the Palma Bay ending in Ca'n Pastilla, this whole stretch of beach has plenty of facilities, watersports, bars and restaurants.
Cala Blava is a sand and stone cove accessed by a stairway, it's just 30-metres in length and 20-metres wide. Situated next to a housing development its remote location means there are no facilities.
Cala Pi is an isolated beach set in a cove with clear calm water and fine sand. Accessed via a steep staircase, the beach is just 45-metres in length and 140-metres wide. Its location means there are limited facilities here, though there are sunbeds and parasols available to hire and there is a small beach bar selling a variety of refreshments.
Es Trenc is 2 km of unspoilt beach, a popular choice with naturists as it's an official nudist beach. The beach has fine white sand which gently slopes into the sea with very shallow water. There are a few bars and restaurants along the beach.
Things to do
Sights of interest in Llucmajor include the Fanciscan Convent of Sant Bonaventura which dates back to the 17th century, the church of Sant Miguel built between 1781 and 1853, and two monuments one marking the battle of Llucmajor and the other celebrating the towns' shoemakers. Llucmajor has three weekly markets the largest of which takes place on a Friday.
The area is popular with cyclists with a number of well signed routes which pass through picturesque villages and stunning coastal scenery. Golfers are also well thought of here with two courses in the region.
A site worthy of a visit is the well preserved prehistoric village of Capcorb Vell with it has five remaining stone Talayots and 28 Bronze Age dwellings.
Nearby attractions
The nearby resort of El Arenal features the islands largest water park it offers a variety of water attractions with adrenaline chutes, children's play-areas and a relaxing lazy river, ensuring a fun-day out for all ages. Also in the resort is a Jurassic Park themed 54-hole crazy golf course.
The Palma Aquarium is found just outside Palma between Ca'n Pastilla and Playa de Palma, combining education and fun it's suitable for all ages and is a great place to learn all about marine life and more. There are 25 aquariums home to a wide variety of Mediterranean species, a further 24 with tropical fish, and the deepest shark tank in Europe. Outside there's a play-area for children, Mediterranean and jungle gardens.
The city of Palma is a must-see with winding streets, historical sites, museums, pavement cafes and chic shops Palma has plenty of places to explore and relax. Some of its major attractions include the gothic La Seu Cathedral, the Palace de L'Almudaina and the Castell de Bellver.
