The beach at Kefalos is a mix of sand and shingle and is within swimming distance of the Agios Nikolas monastery. The coastline leading to Kefalos has some of the best beaches on the island including Paradise Beach.

The Old Town is typically Greek however the length of the bay is fringed with tavernas, cafes and restaurants. The nightlife here is low-key however for those who wish to enjoy late night clubs and discos the larger resorts of Kardamena and Kos are not far away.
Nearby Attractions
There are many historical site to visit in the area surrounding Kefalos. Kamari is only 1km away where visitors will find the basillicas of Agios Stefanos dating back to the 5th Century and also a pretty marina. Other ruins and sites worth visiting include the Holy Monastery of Agios Ioannis, small cove of Limnionas with its small port and the Church of Agios Theologos.
