Kanoni is positioned on a steep and rugged bit of coastline and is covered by dense vegetation. Kanoni is ideal for those seeking to be based around the hotels, many of which are deluxe and offer a tranquil surrounding. The resort is close to both Corfu Town and the airport and is on the peninsula that overlooks the Halkiopoulou Lagoon and airport runway. The area is suited mainly to mature couples rather than families.

Beaches
There are two beaches. The first is a small and sheltered sandy bay which is popular with locals and can get busy in the Summer months. The second beach is opposite Pontikonisi and is small and offers limited facilities.
Nearby Attractions
To the south of the resort across the narrow causeway is the monastery of Vlacherna. Alternatively a visit to Corfu Town is a must where there is an Old Town with cobbled streets and great range of shops, bars and tavernas. Corfu Town has a number of churches, museums and a 16th century fortress to see.
