The Font de Sa Cala beach is a small white sandy beach at just 100-metres long and 60-metres wide. A quiet beach which is rarely crowded, facilities available include loungers, umbrellas and pedalos for hire, lifeguard during the peak season and a restaurant/snack bar.
Things to do
For golf enthusiasts the nearest courses are the Canyamel Golf Course and the Capdepera Golf Course, both with 18-holes.
With a landmark castle, the historic town of Capdepera is just 2 km inland; it's the largest fortress on the island which was built in the 14th century to protect the mainland from pirates. Another historic town nearby and one that also features a fortress is Arta, this charming town has narrow and winding streets, and the Sanctuary of Sant Salvador.
Font De Sa Cala makes a great base for a walking holiday with countless well posted trails to follow and discover hidden coves and stunning scenery, or even to wonder along the coastal road to neighbouring Cala Ratjada stopping off at one of its bars for refreshment.
