Corfu Town
Corfu Town is the Capital of Corfu and the largest town on the island and is home to the port where most cruise ships dock. The town is filled with narrow streets and town squares with charming churches and beautiful Venetian architecture which lead down the Europes largest esplanade. A wealth of shops, bars, restaurants and nightlife can be found here as well as ancient ruins and sites such as a 16th century fortress.

Glyfada beach is situated 15 km from Corfu Town where there is golden sand and choice of beach bars. Alternatively Kavos beach is located southeast of Corfu Town and is extremely popular with the younger crowds. The Mon Repos Beach is the closest beach from Corfu Town which is only 2 km away.
Nearby Attractions
There are many ancient ruins and museums to visit including the Byzantine Museum of Corfu, 15th Century church of Mouragia and the St Spiridon's church. As well as fortresses there is the Mon Repos Palace where the Duke of Edinburgh was born. At the port there are many boats trips available including trips out to secluded beaches.
