For swimming and sunbathing kick back at Worthing Beach and Miami Beach or, for snorkeling head for St Lawrence Bay. Dover Beach and Maxwell Beach offer a range of water-sports and you can learn to surf at Rainbow Beach.
If you are an experienced surfer, you might prefer Golden Sands Beach, Silver Sands Beach and Surfers Point.
Things to Do
Historic attractions at the southern end of the island include Sunbury Plantation House, where you can learn of 18th and 19th century life on the sugar plantations and, the South Point Lighthouse which is near Miami Beach.
Depending on the season, you might also catch a game of cricket at the Dover.
Out and About
At the southern end of the island, Christchurch is ideally located to enjoy the lively nightlife and speciality restaurants at St Lawrence Gap as well as the famous Friday night Fish Fry at Oistins.
