This beach resort on the south west coast is popular with families and the pace is slower here than neighbouring Playa de las Americas. There are plenty of bars, restaurants and shops available and the beach is great. Charming and timeless, the resort has everything you would want on a beach holiday.
Los Cristianos
Los Cristianos is an all year round resort. It has a lovely sweeping sandy beach, a harbour, gazillions of palm trees and endless pavement cafes, shops, bars and restaurants. The harbour is popular for those who want to go on one of the numerous boat trips. Those looking for a late or lively night, can take a leisurely stroll to Las Americas or short taxi ride and party all night.

The beach at Los Cristianos sits in a sweeping bay and is sheltered by the harbour. It has a wide stretch of golden sand and is very well serviced with sun loungers, shades and water sports. The beach is backed by a pedestrianised promenade with wall to wall beach bars and pavement cafes. The other side of the harbour you have the wide sandy beach of Playa de la Vistas where there are volleyball courts and the waters are sheltered by breakwaters.
Things to Do
Get up early and watch the fisherman at work in the harbour or get up late and go on a lazy pleasure cruise instead. The harbour is a hive of activity with plenty of boat trips available such as, sports fishing trips, ferries to neighbouring islands, pleasure cruises, whale and dolphin watching.
Stroll along the promenade. Heading south out of the resort you will soon arrive at the protected natural area of Montana de Guaza where you can follow the paths into the park. Heading in the opposite direction you can walk along the promenade behind the harbour and Las Vistas beach, through Playa de Las Americas and along the sea front for miles and miles passing the beaches of the Costa Adeje and the Puerto Colon marina all the way to El Duque.
Out and About
There are endless bars and restaurants in Los Cristianos as well as plenty of tourist shops near the beach and every day shops in the town centre. There are many seafood restaurants serving fresh fish from the harbour and an abundance of international menus.
In the San Telmo district you will find many a chic bar and, on the other side of Las Vistas beach heading towards Playa de las Americas, there are some excellent restaurants and designer shops in the Safari Centre.
Nearby Attractions
Siam Park (3.5km) offers a great day out for all ages and has Thai themed landscaping. There are awesome thrill slides for the dare devils, the slides and bridges of the Lost City for children, the Mai Thai lazy river and the wave pool for those who like to take it easy. If you don't want to get wet at all, head for the Floating Market or the Diner by the 'beach'.
Just 1km further on, in Torviscas, you have another water park; Aqualand which also has some great slides and dolphin shows. For golfers, the 18 hole course at Golf Las Americas is 3km from Los Cristianos.
Monkey Park (2.5km) on the outskirts of Los Cristianos is a breeding centre and leisure park. It has lots of small monkeys and big apes as well as reptiles and tropical birds. A little further inland at Chayofa (5km) there is the Aguilla Jungle Park which is home to big cats and more monkeys.
