Canyamel beach is 290-metres in length and 80-metres wide, with fine golden sand and shallow clear water. Facilities available include sun-loungers, umbrellas and pedalos for hire, lifeguard on duty in high season, toilets and showers.

With four golf courses within 15-minutes drive, 100 tennis courts in the resort, picturesque walking and cycling routes, Canyamel is a great base for sporting enthusiasts.
Attractions worth a visit when staying in Canyamel include the Torre de Canyamel fortified tower, it was built in the 13th century in Gothic style, standing at 23 metres high it has been expertly preserved and refurbished. The Arta Caves are situated just outside the resort, featuring fascinating stalactites and stalagmites, and a stunning sea-view at the end of the tour.

Less than 10 km away are the historic towns of Capdepera to the north and Arta inland to the west, both of which feature a fortress and make an interesting alternative to lazing on the beach.
