The city of Los Angeles is vast and offers plenty of things to do for its visitors; some of the more touristy must dos while here include a walk down Hollywood Boulevard to Grauman's Chinese Theatre where screen legends have left their foot and hand prints in cement; hang around (if you can't afford the designer goods) Rodeo Drive in the hope of ogling a celebrity; visit the quirky Venice Beach it's a great place for people-watching and a wander; take a picture of the Hollywood sign or hit the shops, the city is a premium shopping destination with a variety of stores to suit all tastes and budgets. For families looking for a fun day out Disneyland, Universal Studios and Knotts Berry Farm are all great theme parks popular for all age groups.
San Diego is California's oldest city, it has around 70 miles of coastline making it a great choice for a holiday in the sun as well as an ideal base for a families, San Diego features some great venues for a fun day out, including SeaWorld, Legoland, the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park.

Cioppino - an Italian-American dish originating in San Francisco is a stew made with an array of fresh seafood. Chop Suey - believed to have been discovered in San Francisco in 1878, California Roll - a kind of sushi roll, packed with crabmeat and avocado, and the Cobb salad - generally found on most restaurant menus and served as a main course, the salad is made from chopped salad greens, tomato, crispy bacon, boiled or roasted chicken breast, hard-boiled egg, avocado, chives, Roquefort cheese and red-wine vinaigrette.
