The small resort of Cala Vinas (sometimes spelt Cala Vinyes) is built around a cove and offers a much quieter base than the neighbouring resort of Magaluf just 2km away.

The beach in Cala Vinas is situated in a small bay with low cliffs on either side of the calm clear water. This sandy cove is just 70-metres long and 100-metres wide with a number of palm trees providing the perfect respite from the sun.
Facilities on the beach include sun-loungers and parasols for hire, a beach bar, hotel restaurant and a children's play-area found at the back of the beach. There are no watersports available here.
Out and about
This quiet resort offers just a handful of bars and restaurants, and the necessary shops; though only 2km away is Magaluf, home to numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs. And for some quality shopping Palma is the place to go.
Nearby attractions
A very popular evening attraction is the Pirates Adventure (Els Pirates), which is based just outside of Magaluf (approx 2km away). A pirate themed dinner and show, with performances most evenings, there's a special late night adult's only performance in addition to the family show.
The Marineland which is located in the nearby resort of Portal Nous (around 5km away) is a popular attraction for families with young children, the park features an aquarium with rays and sharks, and the shows includes performing sea lions, parrots and dolphins.
Further family fun can be enjoyed at the Western Waterpark found just outside the resort of Magaluf, the park is full of thrilling water-slides and fun pools. Other attractions offering fun for all ages include Go-Karting and the Katmandu Fun-House both in Magaluf, and Golf Fantasia found in the heart of Palma Nova featuring three enjoyable crazy golf courses.
Full of historical sites and museums Palma makes an ideal day excursion; visit the Gothic sights of La Seu Cathedral and Basilica de Sant Francesc, Palace de L'Almudaina found next to the cathedral and Castell de Bellver the only circular castle in Spain.
Enjoy the scenic train journey from Palma to Soller, it takes a magnificently picturesque route and with vintage carriages is a pleasurable and popular tourist attraction. Once in Soller you can extend your trip onto Port de Soller, where a vintage tram connects with the arrival of the train.
