There is a string of beaches and secluded coves to be found around the Gokova Bay, all lapped by the clear waters of the Aegean which are ideal for swimming and snorkelling. This is not a developed area and, away from the hotels, the beaches are backed by greenery rather than bars and resort facilities.
Things to Do
The resort comprises just a few secluded hotels which are spaced some distance apart and are fairly self contained. The hotels here tend to have a private stretch of beach or an entire cove all to themselves, from which they operate a variety of water-sports.
Aside from swimming, relaxing, walking or exploring, the most convenient daytime and evening activities will tend to be hotel-based. This is likely to include sports, spa treatments, games, kids clubs and fitness sessions in the day with shows and music in the evenings.
Out and About
The nearest villages lie approx 2km to 4km inland and offer the chance to discover daily local and farming life in Turkey, away from the busy resorts.
There are many boat trips available around the small islands and coves along the coastline of the Gokova Bay and the Bodrum peninsula. You can also take a day trip to the Greek island of Kos via the ferry from Bodrum.
Nearby Attractions
Bodrum city centre offers a variety of experiences and environments almost 24/7. In the evening, you can go clubbing to the early hours and choose from countless lively bars by the beach or enjoy one of the expensive restaurants overlooking the exclusive marina. During the day you can shop in the colourful local markets or the designer boutiques; discover historical and archaeological sights or take one of the many scenic boat trips around this stretch of the Turquoise Coast.
