Alcoceber is a peaceful town, ideal for families and offers un-crowded beaches and a low-rise resort.

The town is backed by the Sierra de Irta mountain range and has 10km of coastline with beaches, coves and sand dunes.
Alcoceber is situated approx 124km from Valencia Airport, coach transfer approx 1hr 30 mins.
Beaches
There are 5 beautiful beaches in Alcoceber, 4 of which are Blue Flag beaches. The beaches are well looked after and offer facilities such as showers, toilets, lifeguards and play equipment for children. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available to rent.
There are wooden boardwalks covering the sand dunes at the back of the beaches which makes it a lot easier for those with wheelchairs or pushchairs to get to the beaches. A range of watersports such as pedalos, windsurfing, jet skiing and scuba diving can be found at the beaches in high season.
Things to Do
There is a good variety of shops, bars and restaurants in the resort which are easily accessible on foot or for those who want to take it a little easier, hop on board the road train that runs along the sea front.
If you have hired a car, take a trip up the San Benet mountain and take in the fantastic views of the coast and inland areas, you may even be able to see San Antonio in Alicante and the Columbretes Islands on a clear day.
Alcossebre is situated right next to Sierra de Irta national park so there are plenty of opportunities for walking trips through the national park and along the coastal paths.
Out and About
With the resort being relatively flat, it is easy to walk along the seafront and sample some of the delights in the many bars, restaurants and ice cream parlours that overlook the marina. The harbour can get quite busy so it's an ideal place to sit and have a drink and watch the world go by.
There is a good range of restaurants so you are bound to find something to your liking.
Nearby Attractions
For those golf lovers among you, there is a Bernhard Langer designed golf course just 40 minutes drive from Alcoceber which not only provides great golf, it also provides a stunning setting.
Peniscola, an ancient fortress town can be found approx 15km away. Whilst there, you must wander through the old winding town and explore the beautiful castle at the top. There is also a great beach here and many great bars and restaurants, not to mention many good little tourist shops. There is also go-karting just outside Peniscola and a water park in Benicassim. If shopping is your thing then why not take a trip to Valencia which is only and hours drive.
If you want to go a little further a field, then you could take a trip to Port Aventura Theme Park which is a couple of hours drive away in Salou and great entertainment for all the family. If you are visiting in the winter months you could visit the ski resort of Teruel which is quite small but reasonably priced and great fun.
