Easter holidays for couples
Easter deals holidays for families
Make the most of the Easter bank holiday
If you or your partner work in a school, Easter holidays are perfect for packing a beach break into your time off. Not a teacher but already running low on annual leave? Sneak some sunshine into your Easter bank holiday – you can take a four-day trip without using any of your precious holiday time. If you’re really clever, you could even get between seven and 10 days off for just four days of holiday from work. That should really put a spring in your step.
Another way to make the most of the Easter bank holiday is keep short flight times in mind. Look out for hotels with short airport transfer times as well. After all, the less time you spend on your journey, the more time you have to kick back and relax.

Best destinations for Easter holidays
Perfect short escapes
When it comes to travelling at Easter, you really can’t go wrong. Spring is an amazing time of year to discover the beaches of Europe, with temperatures warming up everywhere from Portugal to Paphos. Spring in the Mediterranean is nothing short of beautiful, with blossoms and colourful wildflowers blooming wherever you look. Temperatures are a big improvement on the UK weather at this time of year too, with the thermometer seeing averages in the mid-teens and highs of up to 20°C.
Fall in love with the Canaries
The Canary Islands are perfect for short but sweet trips and longer beach holidays alike; it takes about four and a half hours to fly there from the UK. Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and Tenerife are popular with couples and are known for their year-round lovely weather. As if that wasn’t enough, the time it takes to get there and back means you still have plenty of time to spare for soaking up the sun and the local culture, whether you book four days away or over a week.
Go further with long haul
Looking for that wave of heat as you step off the plane? Consider winging your way to Egypt, Morocco or Dubai this Easter. These destinations are suited to longer Easter holidays, as you’ll be spending a bit more time in the air to get there. This is where booking a holiday over Good Friday and Easter Monday comes in handy – you can really put those ten days off for four days’ annual leave to good use.

Experience the Canaries
Boasting over 300 days of sunshine and year-round mild temperatures, it’s easy to see why families flock to the Canaries. With spring-time temperatures sitting around 18-20°C, you’ll get a sun-soaked Easter escape that’s a great temperature for everyone, making it perfect if you have young children! The only decision you’ll have to make is which island you fancy heading to this year.
