Turgutreis, Bodrum Region, Turkey
Originally a small sleepy fishing village, Turgutreis now offers a thriving holiday resort, with the waterfront now boasting a new modern marina to complement its long sand and shingle beach.
Turgutreis
Turgutreis is a well established tourist resort with a large modern marina, particularly popular with families and older couples. The resort has quickly spread from the town all along the western coast of the Bodrum peninsular to Akyarlar, which offers a much simpler and less touristic environment. Whilst Turgutreis is in a great location for the evening sunsets and has a very relaxing atmosphere you can always find plenty to do, on land or water.

Akyarlar is approx 8km from Turgutreis town centre and has its own selection of shops, bars and restaurants along the beach, around the harbour and in the village. The weekly market is held on Thursdays and the stalls sell textiles and local food produce.
