Taba
The coastal road from Taba to Nuweiba stretches for over 50km, with dramatic mountain landscapes coupled with the natural allure of the Gulf of Aqaba. The resorts of Taba and Taba Heights can be found along this route where the Gulf of Aqaba narrows towards Israel, Jordan and Saudi Arabia.
Taba is ideally suited to those seeking a hotel based holiday, and with a good choice of four and five star hotels to choose from there is no shortage of entertainment, high quality dining and good sports facilities at hand.
Taba Heights which is around 20km south of Taba, has been designed with holiday-makers in mind and features deluxe hotels offering a great range of facilities to suit all ages and tastes. It has its own diving and water sports centre, a small promenade of shops with cafes and restaurants, as well as an 18-hole PGA-designed golf course.
Similar to all the resorts of the Red Sea diving and snorkelling are the main attraction here, with crystal clear waters and exotic marine life there are plenty of dive sites in close proximity for divers of all levels to explore.
Another benefit for staying in this area of Egypt is its location, why not enhance your stay and visit several countries on one trip. Situated on the border with Israel there are excursions available to Jerusalem, along with day trips to the ancient city of Petra in Jordan.
Sharm Airport is approx 230km from the resort of Taba with a transfer time of approx 3-3.5 hours.
An entry Visa is required for Egypt and costs approx 15 GBP per person.
