Mastihari has a long sandy beach which is fringed by a few local tavernas. Visitors can choose between lazing on one of the sun loungers or taking advantage of the non motorised watersports including pedaloes, windsurfing and catamarans. On windy days the sea offers the perfect environment for windsurfing.

For those seeking abit more action, Kos Town is only a 30 minute drive away and there are daily buses and ferries which run each day from the small harbour to Kalymnos. Kos Town is lively and ideal for those seeking historical sites including the 15th Century Castle of the knights, Roman baths and the famous tree of Hippocrates.
