Marmari is nestled away on the north coast of Kos and offers a main street which runs through this small resort and is lined with tourist shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants. The resort is reasonably quiet and therfore not suited to those seeking a lively nightlife.

Marmari has a popular sandy beach which shelves gently into the sea and even in the peak season the beach rarely gets crowded. The sea can get quite choppy so is perfect for windsurfers.

For visitors seeking a more lively atmosphere Kos Town is only a 15 minute drive away where there is a wealth of restaurants and jumping nightlife. Kos Town also houses historical sites including a medieval castle, Roman ruins and for those wishing to go further afield ferries are available from Kos Town for day trips to neighbouring islands.
