Denia
Denia has an interesting history and though much of the town is filled with holiday apartments some of its old charm still remains with its picturesque fisherman quarter (Baix La Mar) and castle.
Denia's main street (Calle Campos), is lined with shops, cafes and restaurants, closed to traffic on weekends it's a great place to stroll and dine al fresco.
With 20km of coastline Denia is ideal for those who enjoy spending time on the beach, ranging from long stretches of sandy beach and rocky coves to the north and south of the town, many of which are consistently awarded the prestigious Blue Flag for cleanliness and facilities.
The longest beach is Les Deveses, over 3km long and around 40 metres wide; it's a gorgeous sandy beach and is particularly suitable for windsurfing and sailing during the summer months. Les Rotes is a stretch of coastline to the south of Denia, consisting of small rocky coves and beaches, a great spot for snorkelling and there's also a naturist beach here.
