There is a lovely sandy beach at Alykanas and you can walk along the beach to the resort of Alykes Village. The beach is perfect for snorkelling.
Out and About
Alykanas is a laid back and relaxed resort that is known for its slow pace of life. If you are looking for nightlife and fast food restaurants then this resort is not for you! Horse drawn carriages can be found in the village and used as a taxi to the nearby resorts. A small choice of local shops are available to browse around and watersports can be found on the beach. Food in this resort consists of mainly authentic Greek dishes including freshly caught fish. There are many tavernas to choose from and these friendly local establishments make the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing meal and local glass of wine.
Nearby attractions
The resort offers a range of boat trips including fishing and turtle watching trips. A popular excursion is to the Smugglers Cove. The 16th Century monestry of St John the Baptist can be found nearby and Skinari with its Spa cave are also worth visiting.
